PULSE OF THE HILL · FINISHED PUBLIC EXAMPLE

Two advocacy events. One planning decision.

NACo’s four-day conference has a specific Hill-day window. Another advocacy event starts that same day. Here is the source-backed distinction a calendar alone can miss.

THE PLANNING TAKEAWAY · PULSE ANALYSIS

Protect the actual Hill-day window.

For county meeting planning, use February 23—not the entire February 20–23 conference—as the organizer’s designated advocacy day. Prepare your delegation before that window. NASBP’s event begins the same day, but its save-the-date does not establish when its congressional meetings occur. The overlap is a scheduling consideration, not evidence of an alliance, a shared bill, or a booked meeting.

2 · PREPARATION QUESTIONS

What your team can do next

  1. Build the county delegation’s internal briefing before February 23; confirm individual appointments inside the organizer’s advocacy window.
  2. Review NASBP’s November update before assigning a bill or meeting target to its 2027 event.
  3. Confirm your delegation’s priorities and actual office appointments separately from conference registration.

What remains unconfirmed

This sample establishes no shared policy position, participant list, office availability, booked meetings, or 2027 bill endorsement. Registration does not establish a congressional appointment. No lobbying disclosure is presented as proof of attendance.

3 · WHY A MAINTAINED WATCH MATTERS

The date is the start of the work.

This page stops at a fixed, public planning example. Paid research adds the full tracked calendar, connected organization and filing records, and recurring source-reviewed updates. A changed date or newly published agenda can change your plan; this sample does not update automatically.

Use this sample to evaluate the reasoning and sourcing—not as a complete dossier or a substitute for organizer confirmation. It contains no customer data or simulated customer results.

No meeting required. Requesting access does not charge you or unlock records. Scope, named seats, agreement, and payment are confirmed first.
